Here's my Journal Quilt for 2007. This is the third time I've participated in the Journal project and I'm sorry to see it come to an end. Next year I'll be exploring weekly journals on my own. I've got a few ideas already...
Christine: The commercial fabric on the left is printed with Chinese characters and I have no clue what they say (hopefully something positive). The characters on the upper right are a stamp that I carved that is Kanji for "insect".
Wonderful quilt. Hopefully a commercial fabric wouldn't say something nasty in a foreign language. I've never really thought of bugs as beautiful -- you have brought out his inner beauty.
My latest book, Art Quilts at Play, co-written with Elin Waterston, has just been released by C&T Publishing. Order an autographed copy here.
You can find my books or dvds in book stores and quilt shops worldwide, or you can order them by contacting me directly.

Jane & Elin Teach You Art Quilting Basics
A new dvd in C&T Publishing's At Home With The Experts series. Elin Waterston and I show you design basics and how they relate to art quilts, how to start with a photo and create an original fabric collage, and how to incorporate found objects into your work. Plus there's a fun studio tour!

Jane, I really liked your Journal Quilt when I saw it in Houston. I was great to meet you too!
Ditto what Sherry said... did you change the banner on your blog?
